What Is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a 4000 year old guided meditation technique that guides and teaches you how to ease stress and relax physically, emotionally and mentally while remaining alert and aware. The student is guided through a series of progressive relaxation and meditation techniques aimed at raising awareness of different aspects of the body, mind, and emotions. Yoga Nidra’s magic helps you accept ‘what is’ thereby freeing up energy that is typically bound up in fighting with reality. Although this is an effortless practice – there is nothing to know and nothing to do—a great deal is happening. The practice paradoxically frees energy and empowers you to face life’s challenges with equanimity and ‘right-action.’ Learning to observe and accept ‘what is’ leads to more freedom, satisfaction, and contentment in daily living.
